Maddi is eating adult food with a vengeance. She seems to be hungry a lot of the time. It feels like overnight we went from her bottle was the majority of her diet with some food to the bottle's not doing it give me some real food. She eats breakfast, lunch and dinner...twice. I get that the majority of the food doesn't make it in her mouth, but is this normal? Maybe I'm not feeding her the right kinds of food?
Her current favorite eats include:
- potatoes in every form
- avocados
- eggs
- dried yogurt snacks
- crackers
- rice crackers
- rice
- black beans
- shredded chicken
- cinnamon treats
Any others? Do you have a specific diet for your 7/8 month old? Mine just eats everything :). Look how happy she is with real food! Cutest little eater ever!

I'm sure Maddi is getting exactly what she needs, you wouldn't be getting ant sleep if she was hungry at night time!
ReplyDeleteI had the same worries and was constantly on to the GP and health visitor, both reassured me that the babies were getting what they needed and 'would let you know if they needed more'.
Do you give her snacks, my boys love cheese and fruit and these seem to help fill them up!
I know all this is worrying but you are doing a wonderful job, you just need to look at that cute little face to know Maddi has everything she needs.
It sounds like she's a great eater and eating healthy foods! That's awesome!
ReplyDeleteLittle Maddie does not look under-fed! She's cute as a button. You are super Mom!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love that Maddi is a perfect combination of you and your husband, look-wise. She is a cutie!
ReplyDeleteAnddddd....I have no advice for you. Sorry!
Thanks so much everyone! This really helps since she has been fussier at bed times. More food!
ReplyDeleteShe looks happy and healthy to me. Your food lists seems fine too. Big Hugs!!!
ReplyDeleteThey tend to eat a lot more during growth spurts and that continues for years to come. Sometimes they seem to eat nothing, but it all evens out and they get what they want.
ReplyDeleteAs long as they grow and thrive, things are usually fine.
Oh gosh, she really is one cute baby.

You are! babies change their feeding habits from time to time. there are times where my toddler eats so much that I'm like whoa! and times where she barely eats that i get scared. i think its the seasons. write it out and check...
ReplyDeleteAs long as she doesn't have constant access to junk, she;ll eat what she needs to. Babies are pretty good self-regulators.
